I had a detroit truetrac installed today. the TrueTrac works extremely well. had dry pavement so i killed the trac control and did a little bit of... the truetrac is a carrier replacement. so it's exactly the same as an actual locker install. a lunchbox locker that just replaces the spider gears would be a MUCH easier...
I have just over 500rwhp (and a heap of torque) on my HTV1900 blown Monaro and also have the Eaton TrueTrac coupled with the Harrop sports diff cover. Traction is excellent and it doesnt make any noise and so far has handled the power without a drama. Great modification and if I did it all over again I would definitely install the eaton again.
Truetrac is NOT going to hold up to that. I love my TrueTrac but if I was pushing more than 500 in my M6 or 600 in an auto I wouldn't hesitate in a second to step up.
